My Research

My research focuses on the loading and release properties of porous silica nanoparticles in regards to RNA and DNA. I also use chemodynamic information gathered by the Webb team and a team of chemical engineers, led by Dr. Barbara Knutson, to perform biological assays in Heliothis species. My goal is to create a nanoparticle delivery system for double-stranded RNA to induce RNAi in Lepidopteran and Coleopteran species.
