  • Baker Researches Threat to Monarch Food Supply

  • 2018 St. Fair Winners

    Congratulations to this year's winners in the Entomology category at the 2018 St. Fair! The winners are currently on display in Cloverville (South Wing A) until the end of the fair. The Grand Champion was once again Clark County's T. J. Svoboda who created a 5th-year collection showing the life cycles and nests of many Kentucky bee and wasp species.   • Dr. Haynes: Elected ESA Fellow for 2018

    UK entomology professor Dr. Ken Haynes has been elected as a Fellow of the Entomological Society of America (ESA) for 2018. This year's Fellows will be recognized at the 2018 Joint Annual Meeting of the Entomological Societies of America, Canada, and British Columbia, November 11-14, in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada.   • Potter Featured on "Whiskycast"

    UK Extension Entomology professor Dr. Mike Potter was recently featured on an episode of Whiskycast, a podcast that focuses on the distilled spirits industry. During the segment, Dr. Potter discussed the possibility of powderpost beetle infestations in the wooden storage structures ("rickhouses") that are associated with Kentucky bourbon production.
