Research Interests

My research interests focus on food web ecology in temperate forest floors.  By studying the ecology of individuals in the context of food webs, I can address how individuals respond and adapt to their various competitors, defenses of their prey, and adaptations of their own natural enemies.  In my research I intend to incorporate many techniques, from field sampling and laboratory behavioral studies, to DNA-based gut content analyses.  Ultimately, by addressing these questions, I hope to reveal the evolution of morphology, behavior and life history of the individuals in this system and the regulation of density and spatial patterns of its populations.
