Research

My current research focuses on integrated pest management of cucurbits (squashes, pumpkins, gourds, melons, cucumbers) in organic and conventional growing systems in central Kentucky. I am investigating innovative techniques to increase natural enemy abundance and crop yield, while managing insect pests and diseases in these high value crops.

Extension

I actively participate in entomology extension at UK sponsored events as well as events within our local community, including 4H and public school demonstrations. These events are intended to teach the general public about insects and promote the university’s goals as a land grant institution.
