Research Interests

My primary interests involve establishing insect cells as a model for insect cold biology. I investigate protein phosphorylation in response to different types of cold, namely rapid cold hardening. Another key aspect of my research includes using bioinformatics to analyze large genomic, transcriptomic, and phosphoproteomic data sets generated for Antarctic, Subantarctic, and model insect species.
