Tissue and Cell, 42(1), 42-46; Zhang, J., Chen, X.M., Zhang, C.D., He, Q., Dong, Z.Q., Cao, M.Y., Dong, X.L., Pan, C.X., Lu, C. and Pan, M.H. (2014). Differential susceptibilities to BmNPV infection of two cell lines derived from the same silkworm ovarian tissues. PloS one, 9(9);
Origin: made from same ovarian tissue as BmN-SWU2 cells; Morphology: consists of short, spindle-shaped cells; Growth characteristics: doubling time = 57.7 hr (45th passage); Karyology: diploid cell line with 80.5% cells having 2n=56 chromosomes; Unique properties: transient expression efficiency of green fluorescent protein gene (using the transgenic expression vector pBac[A3Neo + A3EGFP]) is 54.8%.
