Morphology: elongate and fibroblastoid in appearance, grows as attached cells; Growth characteristics: population doubling time = 20 to 22 hr; Unqiue properties: induced to produce an anti-bacterial factor, anti-bacterial activity; Karyology: exhibited a modal aneuploid chromosome number of 36; Microbial presence: tested negative for mycoplasma contamination using the fluorescent dye Hoechst.
