Journal of Invertebrate Pathology, 92(2), 59-65; Deshmukh C.G., Bahekar R.S. (2013). Comparative in vitro replication and serial passaging of BMNPV in the DZNU-BM-12 and other cell lines. Int. J. Sci. Res. Pub. 3:3.1-3.3; Bahekar R.S. (2018). Growth kinetics and baculovirus productivity of indigenously developed cell line DZNU-Bm-1 of Bombyx mori (L) in different medium. Res. Dir. 6:67-76.
Morphology: cells are large in number, attached epithelial-like and round refractive cells; after 10 passages the round refractive cells dominated the population; Growth characteristics: Doubling time = 42 h; Karyology: largely diploids and triploids, while a few tetraploids and hexaploids were also observed; Unique properties: the BmNPV was serially passaged in this cell line for five times.
