Morphology: cells are epithelial-like and grow in suspension as multicellular, hollow vesicles; Karyology: modal chromosome number was 58 and the range between 32-144; Unique properties: exposure to 20-hydroxyecdysone resulted in a dramatic morphological change in cell vesicles.
