Goodwin, R. H., Tompkins, G. J., & McCawley, P. (1978). Gypsy moth cell lines divergent in viral susceptibility. In Vitro, 14(6), 485-494.
Morphology: cells are mostly spherical to fibroblastic ranging from about 15 to 20 µm in diameter; Growth characteristics: cells grow in a loose monolayer with considerable clumping in dense cultures; Authentication: microimmunodiffusion assay is performed to differentiate this cell line from other lepidopteran insects as well as pupal extracts from L. dispar; Sublines: 65CP and 65P.
