Able to replicate Autographa californica multiple nucleopolyhedrovirus (AcMNPV), Spodoptera litura multiple nucleopolyhedrovirus (SfltMNPV), Helicoverpa armigera single nucleopolyhedrovirus (HaSNPV)
Originally infected with microsporidium Nosema heliothids: using the antiprotozoan drug Metrogyl 400 and simultaneous heat treatment, the parasite was removed from the culture at passage 9.
