Origin: clonal isolate of TN-368; Morphology: heterogenous with many large cells, includes thow that are circular/rectangular/spindle-shaped with very long extensions; Unique characteristics: serves as efficient indicator cell line in plaque assays; useful for the production of recombinant proteins; immunoperoxidase assay used to detect the infectivity of the cell line.
