Professional Biography
Elizabeth is a Ph.D. student in the Jones Lab studying how social evolution influences cognition in Halictid bees. She is interested in all aspects of insect cognition and behavior, from sensory perception, to communication, to learning and decision-making. Elizabeth received both her B.S. and M.S. in Biology from the University of Texas at Tyler, where she compared learning behavior between agricultural groups of fungus-gardening ants in the lab of Dr. Katrin Kellner and Dr. Jon Seal.
