I am a native Kentuckian. I have a Masters and Doctorate in Entomology from the University of Kentucky. My Bachelors in Biology is from Kentucky State University. I am a faculty member in the department of Entomology, and I've been associated with the ABT program since I came to UK in 2019.  I teach ABT 495, ABT/ENT 360, ENT 220, and GEN 100 and I also serve as an ABT/ENT academic advisor, co-director of online MS programs in Entomology, and as chair of the Diversity and Inclusion Committee. My research background includes the molecular analysis of viruses and bacteria associated with insects in both symbiotic and parasitic relationships.
